Delete your account

Last updated: 28 July 2026

What gets deleted

Deleting your Pycter account removes your identity from our servers. Upon deletion:

  • your email address and identifiers are removed,
  • your authentication credentials are revoked,
  • every device linked to your account is unlinked, and stops receiving your albums,
  • your recovery keys are destroyed,
  • you are removed from every album you were a member of.

This is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way to restore an account once it has been deleted. If you enabled end-to-end encryption, your keys are gone with it — we never held them, and we cannot recover your content on your behalf.

What we cannot remove

Content previously shared with other members may remain on their devices, as Pycter cannot remove data already synchronized.

The albums you took part in keep working for their remaining members. Their history stays replayable — you simply no longer appear as a member.

Request deletion

Enter the email address of the account you want deleted. We will send a one-time verification code before anything is removed.

Enter the 6-digit code we sent to your email address, then confirm deletion.

If the form does not work, contact us from the email address of the account concerned: privacy@pycter.com.

For anything else, see our Support page. For the full picture of what we store and why, see our Privacy Policy.
